Pursuant to the Community Charter, the District of Kent gives notice that it intends to lease 6978 Cheam Avenue and legally described as Lot 46 District Lot 19 Group 1 New Westminster District Plan 37642 to K. Lefevre. The lease shall be over a twenty-four-month period at a minimum rate of $52,800.
With the ongoing wind advisory in affect for our region, residents are encouraged to avoid using open spaces and trails. Residents who choose to be in these environments should take extra precautions when wind surges, such as:
With current heavy ground saturation and an anticipated wind event on Monday, December 15, there is the potential for trees to be downed. If you come across a downed or damaged power line, assume it is live and a danger. Stay back at least 10 metres (the length of a bus) and dial 9-1-1, then BC Hydro at 1-800-224-9376 or *49376 on your cell phone to report the incident.
Sand and sandbags are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre located at 6660 Pioneer Avenue behind the livestock pavilion. Residents are required to bring a shovel or a tool to fill the available sandbags with.
