Living Here

The District of Kent is a friendly agricultural community that offers the comfort and lifestyle of country-living, with a touch of urban convenience and services to meet everyone's needs. Our downtown offers a medical clinic, insurance agency, pharmacies, grocery stores, restaurants and coffee shops.

Much of our area is scenic, unspoiled by nature. Hiking, cycling, boating, golfing and hang-gliding are just a few of the outdoor activities we enjoy here.

If you have difficulty navigating our site or would like any further information, please call or email us and we would be happy to assist you. You can also download our Quick Guide for Newcomers!

The District of Kent is committed to reducing barriers to accessibility for everyone. We are an officially designated age-friendly community, several of our parks have accessible play features and equipment, and our Municipal Hall, Community Recreation and Cultural Centre and library are all wheel-chair accessible.

We would also like to hear about accessibility features in the District that may be working well. Please use this form to describe experiences and provide feedback on how barriers can be removed or improved.
