Emergency Services in the District of Kent include the Agassiz Fire Department, RCMP, BC Ambulance, and Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue.

The District of Kent is now using the Alertable notification app to send emergency alerts for local events such as fires, severe weather, earthquakes, floods or other hazards.

We encourage residents and visitors to use Alertable to check for closures, restrictions, and hazards in advance or to get the latest information during an emergency.

Alertable is made in Canada by PEASI and is FREE for the public. It offers multiple alerting options including text, email, phone, web browser, mobile app, social media and home smart speaker. You can also personalize your notifications by type and severity, or add extra locations you want to be notified about (e.g. home, office, cabin, family and friends).
