Types of meetings open to speakers

It is strongly recommended to share your views and concerns in writing in advance of any of our meetings. The public should not rely solely on the webcast or technical equipment to express their views as unforeseen technical issues may arise.

How to Participate:

For Question Period, you can submit your questions (for items pertaining to the agenda only) directly to the Director of Corporate Services by email to clee@kentbc.ca or by mail to:

For Public Hearings, the deadline to receive submissions is by 12:30 pm on the date of the Public Hearing.

Please send submissions to planning@kentbc.ca or Manager of Planning, address as above.

Click on the registration link above, you will be prompted to register for the livestream. Please use your full name and a valid email address.

 

Once you agree to the terms and submit the registration form an email will be sent to the email address you provided which contains the link to join the livestream as well as instructions for asking questions during the Public Hearing.

 

Please note that the Public Hearing contains video and the ability to submit written questions or comments via the Q&A tab. The Council meeting contains video, however questions for the Council meeting must be submitted prior to Question Period by emailing the Director of Corporate Services at clee@kentbc.ca.

  • Speakers/headphones;
  • Internet connection - please note that the audio and video quality of your connection is directly related to the quality of your internet connection from your service provider.

Mayor and Council welcome any individual or group to make a presentation at regular meetings to share thoughts, concerns, program initiatives or other news of local interest.

Presentation Guidelines

  • 15 minute maximum time limit per delegation. Council may permit up to two delegations per meeting.
  • Supporting documents or materials (i.e.: PowerPoint) must be received by 12 noon the Wednesday prior to the meeting.
  • Communications should be addressed to the Chair (or “Your Worship”)
  • Council may not immediately respond to requests made during the presentation.

Complete the delegation form and the Executive Assistant will contact you to confirm the date and time of the Council meeting for your presentation.
