July 16, 2026 - Fire Prohibition

The District of Kent’s annual burning ban continues to be in effect until October 1, 2026. In addition, campfires will also be prohibited effective noon on July 16, 2026 to align with the upcoming Category 1, 2, and 3 Camp Fire Prohibition along the Coastal Fire Centre jurisdiction.

Use of CSA rated or ULC rated devices including propane fire pits, outdoor stoves, and charcoal briquettes are still permitted.

Prohibitions will remain in place until further notice, to stay up to date on current fire prohibitions we recommend following the BC Wildfire Service Facebook page.
