Burning Permits
All open burns in the District require an annual burning permit. No burning is permitted from May 16 to September 30 and no open burning is permitted in the Agassiz townsite and Harrison Highlands Subdivision.
Violators may be fined in accordance with Bylaw 1448 or the Open Burning Smoke Control Regulation as enforced by the B.C. Conservation Officer Service.

Burning Permit Fees
- Campfire $25 - not more than 0.5m x 0.5m (19" x 19").
- Yard Waste Clean Up $60 - larger than camp fire but not more than 2.5m x 2.5m (8' x 8').
- Land Clearing $150 - larger than 2.5m x 2.5m not more than 6m x 6m (19' x 19').
