World Sepsis Day 2026

Tonight, September 13, the District of Kent Municipal Hall will glow fuchsia for World Sepsis Day! Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that happens when the body’s immune system has an extreme response to an infection, causing organ dysfunction.

Resulting in 11 million deaths per year, sepsis remains challenging to identify and treat effectively, highlighting the need for continued action and research. This is why it is so important we all come together to raise awareness and highlight the life-saving power of early detection and treatment.
