NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

The Seabird Island Band Red Dress Gathering is taking place today May 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Council unanimously supported this important event to bring awareness to the ongoing crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ People.

The march route is along Pioneer Avenue from Agricultural Hall at 6820 Pioneer Avenue to the Broken Whisk at 7205 Pioneer Avenue from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. To safely facilitate the event, there will be temporary road closures as the march makes its way through town, with most stops taking around 10 minutes. Please plan for delays along the marked pathway on the provided map and obey any signs and flagging personnel.
