Literacy Month Proclamation September 2023

September 1, 2023 - Mayor and Council have officially declared the month of September 2023 as Literacy Month in the District of Kent.

"Community literacy programs are critical in increasing access, safety, and opportunity for all in a world that relies on literacy for a lot of everyday tasks. I cannot stress enough how important these programs are to our communities, and I am so grateful that they are available to our friends, family, and neighbours here in Chilliwack-Kent." - MLA Kelli Paddon
