Cooling Centre Closed - Aug 18 2023
Cooling Centre at the Friendship House is now CLOSED
With Environment Canada rescinding the Heat Warning on August 16, 2023, the cooling centre at Friendship House is now closed. The Friendship House is still open for normal activities. For more information on their programs, please call 604-796-3422.
The weather is still forecast to be quite warm, so please continue to take steps to stay cool, check on vulnerable loved ones, and seek out medical attention if you notice signs of heat stroke.
Public spaces to cool off include*:
- Centennial Spray Park
- Ferny Coombe Outdoor Pool
- Community Recreation and Cultural Centre
- Agassiz Library
- Pioneer Park
