Lets’emot Regional Recreation & Aquatic Centre Fundraising
In February the District of Kent proudly surpassed the halfway milestone in its fundraising efforts for the Lets’emot Regional Recreation & Aquatic Centre raising over $500,000. This achievement has only been successful thanks to our wonderful community supporters who raised $270,000, and our corporate sponsors:
- Timbro Contracting
- Enbridge
- Marlon Recreational Products Ltd.
- Agassiz Fire Department Society
- Agassiz-Harrison Rod & Gun Club
- St. Anthony's of Padua's Parish Thrift Store
It was noted that other Corporate Sponsors who provided in-kind services including Armstrong Sand and Gravel and Agassiz Ready Mix Concrete will also be recognized once their respective contracts are completed.
Thank you to the Lets’emot Regional Aquatic Centre Fundraising Committee, especially Bob Penner, for the second successful golf tournament held on April 5, 2025. The next fundraising event is at the Agassiz Speedway on May 24, 2025.
Councillor Spaeti highlighted how it is truly the small amounts that have helped bring the District to this large goal. Reaching this achievement shows just how excited our community is to see this project come to life.
