2024 Property Taxes

District of Kent Property Tax Notices have been mailed out.
The due date is 4:30 PM, Monday, July 15, 2024.

If you own property in the District of Kent and you did not receive a notice, please contact our office and a copy will be provided to you. Late fees will apply after July 15, 2024

Eligible homeowners must claim their Homeowner Grant through the Province of British Columbia by July 15, 2024, to avoid a penalty. All grants should be claimed whether taxes are paid or not. If your tax payment is paid through a financial institution, they cannot claim the grant on your behalf. Property owners are responsible to claim the Homeowner Grant.

Postmark date stamps are not accepted as payment date. Payments delayed in the mail are subject to penalties if received after the due date. It is recommended that cheques post-dated to July 15, 2024 be mailed immediately or that taxes be paid online, at your financial institution, or in person at Municipal Hall.

Payment via online or telephone banking, mailing a cheque or using the drop box at the entrance to Municipal Hall are strongly encouraged. Contact Municipal Hall at 604-796-2235 for further payment option details.

FIRST PENALTY: 1% penalty will be applied after 4:30 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024.

SECOND PENALTY: 9% penalty will be applied after 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
