A cooling centre is available to the public at the Friendship House (7272 Morrow Road), from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, July 8 and 9. Pets are permitted and must be always under the full control of their owner. A transit stop is conveniently located in front of the Friendship House.
Additional cool indoor spaces include the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre at 6660 Pioneer Avenue, (please see our website for hours of operation https://www.kentbc.ca/en/explore-and-play/community-recreation-and-cultural-centre.aspx) and the Agassiz Library at 7140 Cheam Avenue (Closed Mondays, please see their website for hours of operation https://fvrl.bibliocommons.com/locations/AG).
Try to avoid outdoor activities during peak temperatures from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. In the evening our outdoor Splash Park at 6660 Pioneer Avenue is the perfect spot to cooldown, open seven days a week from 9:00 am until dusk.
