Burning Permits |
A burning permit is required before starting any kind of burn, as long as there is no burning ban in effect. Please note burning is not permitted in the townsite. |

Community Wildfire Protection Plan |
Consultants B.A. Blackwell and Associates Ltd. have produced a Community Wildfire Protection Plan for the District, which provides a framework that can be used to review and assess areas of identified high fire risk within our municipal boundaries. The information in the report will help guide improvements and developments of emergency plans, responses, evacuation plans, as well as management of potentially hazardous forest lands adjacent to our community. |
The District of Kent has an emergency plan in place if mass farmed animal carcass disposal is required.
Farmed Animal Mass Carcass Disposal Emergency Plan |
This plan is designed to enhance the District's capability to quickly recover and reduce impact on the local agriculture industry. Information provided in this plan includes a profile of animal farming sites and activities in the District and provides resources in the event an emergency response is required.
