The District of Kent has two municipal cemeteries.
Valley View Cemetery - 4600 Cemetery Rd (Follow Cemetery Road up and past the Agassiz Speedway and to the end of Alm Park)
Plots are available for caskets, in-ground cremation, and above-ground columbaria burial. A scatter garden is also available to ceremonially release cremated remains. A map including names is at the entrance to the cemetery. You may also locate specific plots at Valley View using the web map below.

Kent Municipal Cemetery – 5989 Limbert Rd
The historic cemetery, located on Limbert Mountain, is closed for burials. There is a notice board at the entrance gate which has a listing of the known burials. For further information visit the Agassiz-Harrison Museum and Visitor Information Centre at 7011 Pioneer Ave.

Residency & Rates |
|
Plots for District of Kent residents are sold at a lower rate than for former and non-residents. Former residents must provide proof that they have resided in the Municipality in the past.
All in ground burials require a grave liner as per the District's Bylaws. |

Cremation plots are for the burial of one cremated remain or one unity urn. |

Above Ground Columbaria Niche |
|
Inurnment is the setting of cremated remains in an above-ground structure called a columbaria niche. Each niche is 11.5" x 11.5" x 15" and can accommodate up to two urns. Granite panels are affixed to the front of the niche which can be purchased to be inscribed as the family wishes. |

Scatter Gardens |
|
The scatter garden is a designated place within the cemetery where family and friends can permanently scatter the ashes of their loved one. A memorial plaque can be placed on the memorial rock to offer remembrance to the person resting there.
A scattering interment can only be arranged at time of need, it cannot be pre-purchased. |

Selling, Transferring, or Refunding an Interment Space |
|
The District of Kent does not allow the private re-sale of interment spaces. However, a rights holder may transfer their interment space to a direct family member or return the space to the District for a partial refund of its original purchased price. |

Memorial Markers |
|
The District of Kent does not manufacture or sell markers. You may order memorial markers from a funeral home or memorial company. Markers must be constructed of granite, bronze, or other materials of a permanent nature.
All memorial markers (headstones) require a permit and must be approved by the District of Kent. Memorial markers shall only be placed, installed, or removed by the Caretaker and must conform to the District's cemetery regulations.
